General Innovative Partner

For now BEST Ukraine includes three local groups, which communicate the students of three technical universities of Kyiv, Lviv and Zaporizhzhya.

In Lviv BEST appeared in 2002 on the basis of NU “LP”. The same year on General Assembly in Paris it became a part of this international organization. In 2005 BEST Lviv had been registered as youth social organization “Board of students of technical universities”. Plenty of interesting and amusing events not only for the students of their university but also for the youth and students of whole country are organized by local group from Lviv. Great example is the unique IT festival DE:CODED, which was held for the fourth time in 2009.

LBG Zaporizhzhya appeared on January, 2007 in ZNTU. At that time six students of ZNTU decided that simple education and simple communication was not enough and they needed European education and European communication! From that time, this local group extended greatly, number of active students increased that gave an opportunity to organize lots of events every year. One of the most important projects of this LBG is II Ukrainian BEST Engineering Competitions (UBEC), national round of which is held in Zaporizhzhya. The main aim of this local group (as of the BEST at all) is to give an opportunity for students to show themselves on international level, to glean experience, to get an additional education and unbelievable acquaintance with European cultures.

BEST Kyiv is the youngest group in Ukraine. This local group was created on June, 15 2008 in NTUU «KPI», and on September, the 20th Motivation Weekend took place on the basis of students’ camp “Polytechnik”. It familiarized and make friends between young members of Kyiv team. On December, 2-4th LBG Kyiv organized a career-educational event “Work’n’Roll”. From that time, each year this local group holds different academical events, one of which are courses on technical subjects.
